The restored mansion from the XVI century, is in the heart of the village Riezu (125 inhabitants), with a large garden, on the banks of the Ubagua River.
The oldest documentation for this mansion are catalogued and protected by the institute “Principe de Viana”. Records show that it was built by order of the Counts of Riezu in 1589.
On the second floor there are 4 spacious bedrooms, restored respecting the traditional structure of the house and are decorated in the theme of the 5 senses. Two of which have en-suits, the other two share a large bathroom.
Bed & Breakfast
The living-dining room is 60m2, it has an open kitchen, fireplace, TV, WIFI, board games, books, tourist information and maps of the region.
There is a fridge with the possibility of being filled with drinks and wine. We also have a selection of wines from Navarre, artisanal and organic products from the local area.
There is a 300m2 closed garden that has furniture set up in both the sun and the shade.
The owners live on the first floor of the house.
RIEZU is located at the foot of the Andía mountain range. Here you can begin one of the most beautiful and emblematic walks in Navarre, from the source of the Ubagua River. Furthermore all the Natural Park of Urbasa and Andía are considered as an area of maximum interest for bird watching a great variety of raptors. Our Rural House is connected with the support of the Birding Club of Navarre. We offer a guide to accompany ornithologists to the most emblematic and unknown locations for bird watching. You can find numerous butterflies, orchids and other typical vegetation such as boxwood, sloe-berry plants, juniper trees and ulex plants on the mountain.
